Victoria Amplifier Lays Down the Tone for the United States Military at Camp Liberty, Iraq!

When Cpt Matt Hamrick put out the call that 4th Squadron, 10th Cavalry at Camp Liberty, Baghdad, needed a battle ready guitar amplifier, Victoria Amplifier Co. responded with the finest USA manufactured tonal armaments available. A combat capable 2 Stroke amplifier was custom assembled and is now in service "Ready & Forward" advancing Freedom, conquering Evil and spreading the spirit of American Rock, Rhythm & Blues at Camp Liberty, Baghdad.

Chaplain Cpt. Hamrick related that the official issue guitar amp was sick "and doesnʼt really work most of the time", a morally unacceptable situation that Victoria Amplifier realized they were uniquely qualified to resolve. " It's a great honor to know that our amplifiers see duty on professional music stages across the world every night..It is an even greater honor to contribute an amplifier to our brave troops who are advancing American ideals and freedoms in Iraq." harked Mark Baier of Victoria Amp Co. "It's patriots like Cpt Hamrick that allow us to pursue the American Dream. Those soldiers kick ASS, and they deserve the best"

Hamrick and Camp Liberty were provided with a 1X12 "2Stroke" combo. The 2Stroke is a stripped down, fire breathing tonal tour' d force whose hand wired, mil-spec construction is taylor-made for forward deployment. It features a tube compliment of a single 5V4, 6L6GC and 12AX7, and simple bare bones circuit that will always be reliable in the face of enemy assault..In an additional serendipitous twist of fate, Victoria was able to utilize surplus military vacuum tubes in the manufacture of this particular amp. Hamricks 2Stroke is fitted with 100% "JAN" glass (JAN stands for 'joint army navy' and is the military appellation given to the specially tested battle ready vacuum tubes). 10 years ago, the military sold off all of their vacuum tube stocks, evidently never thinking that they would be needed for combat-zone tone deployment. "I knew that these tubes were destined to see service in a combat scenario," Baier continues, "Sure, it's ironic that I had to buy them from the government in order to put them into that service, but dammit, that's how destiny works! I'm just a beard! I just feel glad to have been there to intervene in their fate!! God Bless those brave men and women and this great country!"

INTRODUCING THE ELECTRO KING

January 28, 2008

VICTORIA AMPLIFIER ANNOUNCES TWO NEW MODELS

The Victoria Amplifier Co. is proud to announce the arrival of two new amps, the Electro King and the Golden Melody.

The Electro King is an idealized recreation of the classic McCarty era GA-40. Its circa 1957 circuit features two cathode biased 6V6s for 15 watts of recording and small club power. The heart and soul of the Electro King is its 5879 preamp circuit; a single NOS 5879 input pentode for each of the normal and tremolo channels provides rich distortion and natural tube compression at any volume setting. Notes seem to be "blown" out of the amp with overdriven tones that are saturated, dynamic and musical. The Electro King is singularly suited to slide guitar styles with its expressive open tones. True to the original, the tremolo is accomplished with the aid of an NOS 6SQ7 oscillator tube and is a driver modulated volume style tremolo. Slim Harpo/Lonesome Sundown spoken here. The Electro King is fitted with a Jensen P12Q alnico speaker for true vintage tone. New Victoria "Radio-lectric" logo and two tone tolex covering standard.

MSRP $2995.

Electro King chassis component layout:

The Golden Melody is a full range 50watt 2x12 combo featuring the same true "harmonic vari-tone" vibrato and reverb found on Victoria's renowned Reverberato unit. A GZ-34/5U4 and two 6L6GCs provide the clean power while the unique harmonic filter vibrato and classic preamp topology generate tones from spanky clean to Fillmore Gypsy. Spatially huge, the pulsing swirling effect of the Golden Melody's vibrato is peerless and is 100% tube driven, using no less than three 12AX7s. Reverb is 12AT7 transformer coupled with a full size Accutronics tank standard. Two Golden Melody Classic Lead style 12" speakers are used for rich clean and punchy overdriven tones. Two tone tolex with Victoria "Radio-lectric" logo.

MSRP $3495.00
